Last updated: October 26, 2025

Scope

This notice supplements our Privacy Policy for residents of Washington and Nevada and covers “consumer health data” as defined by state law.

Root Code Collective, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation (“RCC”), operates The Dream Drop. References to “RCC-controlled services” mean services operated by Root Code Collective.

What We Collect

  • Dream entries you submit (text)
  • App-generated insights (e.g., keywords/entities/topics)
  • Approximate location (city/region only; no precise GPS)
  • Optional demographics you choose to provide (e.g., birth year, gender)
  • Technical logs (e.g., device/app version, crash reports)

We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, government IDs, or precise GPS coordinates.

Why We Collect It (Purposes)

  • Operate and display core features in The Dream Drop (dreams are public by default on RCC-controlled services; you can set any dream Private anytime)
  • Produce de-identified aggregate research and statistics
  • Improve reliability, security, and prevent abuse

We do not sell consumer health data.

How We Share

  • We may share de-identified research datasets with accredited institutions under agreements that prohibit re-identification.
  • We do not disclose identifiable consumer health data to third parties.

Your Choices & Rights (WA/NV)

  • Access / Export / Deletion: Use in-app Export (Text/CSV/JSON) and Delete all data and dreams in Settings.
  • Opt for Privacy: Mark any dream Private to remove it from public display.
  • Appeal: If we decline a request, you may appeal by emailing support@rootcodecollective.org with subject “Appeal – CHD”.

Because we don’t store contact information, we verify requests using your pseudonymous signature (see Settings → About in the app).

By using The Dream Drop, you consent to the collection and internal use of the information above to provide the service. Public display is limited to RCC-controlled services, and you can set any dream Private at any time.
